Before we start using the SIFT Method ; we need to breakdown what the word SIFT actually means.

- If you haven’t seen the source before, double check what they actually post about or check them out.


F: FINDING BETTER COVERAGE: 


- What are other people or what are the other sources trying to say?

T: TRACE BACK TO THE ORIGINAL SOURCE:


- Try to find the original source.


Now that you know what SIFT means; Let's look at an article and try the SIFT Method for ourselves. If you stuck you can look below for an example.


Woolworths Set to Ban On Cash Payments Country Wide. { 2020. }


Using the SIFT Method.


This report came from people posted the Shocking News on different Social Media outlets like Facebook and TikTok back in 2020. But there were no proper news websites that reported about this.

But ABC News Australia had explained that only a few Woolworths Metro stores were testing card-only payments. The removal of cash payments wasn't going to be a country wide ban. 

Woolworths' said made a statement to the ABC that they were trailing to see if this can make things quicker in busy stores in an urban.

The Guardian reported that most Woolworths stores are still taking take cash payments. 7News talked to different shoppers who shop at Woolworths.

In the end Woolworths’ even made a statement on website to clarify that it was only a trial at select stores only.

By George Pritchard. { This was the first ever Nissan LEAF to be delivered.  It was sold in December 2010. } { This video showed Nissan unveiling of first ever Nissan LEAF and was delivered to a man called Oliver Chalouhi. } Back in 2011 many people might've thought the best car was the Ford Focus or a BMW 5-Series.
