Do You Think Knowing the Truth Is Important?

I think knowing the truth is very important especially when to watching the news, talking to people or just voting someone in the election.

When Donald Trump the U.S. President, saw something that he didn’t like “Fake news.” This made it hard for people to know what was real and what wasn’t. Some people believed him, while others trusted the media. This caused the 2020 election to be full of  confusion.

If people can’t tell what’s true, they might make bad decisions like not voting someone from a made up lie or sometimes it might be just believing things that aren’t real. This can form a dangerous country and affect our everyday life.

Another example, when Trump called 2020 US election was apparently “rigged,”  many  Trump believed it even though there was no true evidence from Trump. This led to the protests at U.S. Capitol in January 2021. That shows how extreme knowing the truth can lead to serious problems.

Most of the time, if we know the truth it is necessary to keep people safe and up to date. The truth also can help us to trust our friends and family and it will help us make the right choice. If a mistake happens or multiple mistakes, we will still need facts and evidence to figure out everything and to back our evidence.

I think the truth matters to a lot. If he had no truth in the world, we would be just guessing second guessing ourselves. Next time when it comes to big events like the next elections, new laws, and new politicians, we shouldn't be guessing because it is not good enough.
